Three Bridges Construction on Asian Highway Underway

Construction of three modern 'arc' technology bridges on the Asian Highway Kakarbhitta-Laukahi Road Project (West Section) is progressing rapidly, with 40 percent physical progress achieved. The bridges, located at Ratuwa in Jhapa and on the Lohandra and Bakraha rivers in Morang, are part of the fifth package of the project and are scheduled for completion by January 1, 2083. The contract for the Rs 5 billion project was awarded to Kovek-CRGEC-China State Seventh JV, utilizing advanced steel arc technology.
