Ujyalo Nepal Party and Hamro Nepal Party have officially announced their unification. Ujyalo Nepal Party Chair Kulman Ghising stated the merger aims to strengthen a credible alternative political force in the country. The party has previously merged with the National Change Party and is in talks with other groups.
