The government has begun refunding deposits to small depositors affected by crisis-hit cooperatives, with 378 depositors from three cooperatives receiving their money back on Monday. The Problematic Cooperative Management Committee plans to gradually refund remaining depositors based on deposit size, with approximately Rs 46 billion owed to around 76,000 depositors. Activities are underway to recover cooperative loans to facilitate these refunds, with over 20 million rupees already recovered.
