Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies, Gaurikumari Yadav, inspected the state-owned Hetauda Cement Industry, which is facing a prolonged financial and operational crisis. She expressed regret over the shutdown of the state-owned factory while private companies operate regularly and stated that the government is exploring ways to resume its operations and reopen all closed state-owned industries. The Acting General Manager cited outdated machinery, frequent breakdowns, and raw material shortages as reasons for the shutdown, with employees not receiving salaries for 11 months and dues to suppliers and electricity bills remaining unpaid.
