Health and Food Safety Minister Nisha Mehta addressed the 79th World Health Assembly in Geneva, reaffirming Nepal’s support for the World Health Organization. She highlighted Nepal’s progress in primary health care, immunization, maternal and child health, and emergency preparedness. Minister Mehta was elected Vice President of the 79th WHA and also addressed an event on suicide prevention.
