Here are the suggestions of former finance ministers for the upcoming fiscal year’s budget

Finance Minister Dr Swarnim Wagle has sought suggestions from former finance ministers for the upcoming fiscal year’s budget, which is in the final stages of formulation. Former finance ministers offered various suggestions including implementing reform task force reports, avoiding unprepared projects, taxing electricity, opening private sector for electricity trade, establishing new industries, and coordinating with the Rastra Bank. They also advised on realistic revenue targets, reducing excise duty, reforming financial sectors, and boosting private sector morale for economic growth.
