Bar to stage protest today over non-registration of writs challenging CJ recommendation

The Nepal Bar Association and other legal practitioners will stage a lantern protest today over the refusal to register writ petitions challenging the Constitutional Council's decision to recommend Manoj Kumar Sharma as the next Chief Justice. The Bar accuses the Supreme Court administration of obstructing judicial processes and violating court orders. Acting Chief Justice Sapana Pradhan Malla had instructed the registration of the petitions, but the directive was not followed.
