Magar and Tribal Museums in the shadows

The Magar tribal museum in Chaubise, Dhankuta, faces neglect due to inadequate publicity and poor road access, resulting in few tourists despite housing over 100 historical items. Preparations for homestays near the museum were made, but the museum itself was overlooked when the project stalled. Construction began four years ago with a budget of Rs. 1 million, and the museum displays cultural items of the Magar, Limbu, and Yakha communities.
