WHO Declares International Emergency as Ebola Outbreak Kills More than 80 in DR Congo

The World Health Organization declared an international health emergency as an Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of Congo has killed more than 80 people. The Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention reported 88 deaths and 336 suspected cases of the haemorrhagic fever. The DR Congo Health Minister stated that the Bundibugyo strain of Ebola has no vaccine or specific treatment and a high lethality rate.
