As of mid-April, 338 local levels have completed their land use plans, with 169 also updating maps and collecting data. The Ministry of Land, Cooperatives, Federal Affairs, and General Administration has stated that the Land Use Act empowers local levels to classify land, emphasizing the importance of timely classification for protecting arable land, boosting agricultural production, and improving infrastructure. The deadline for completing land use classification is mid-July.
