UML leaders push for leadership change, urge Oli to step aside

Four vice-chairpersons of the CPN-UML have reportedly called for leadership change, urging party chairman KP Sharma Oli to step aside to strengthen and reform the party. At a central Secretariat meeting, four of the five vice-chairpersons emphasized party restructuring, transformation, and generational leadership transfer, which was interpreted as a call for Oli to step down. Only Vice-Chairperson Bishnu Prasad Paudel supported the party chair, while others stressed the need for organizational renewal.
