Parliament secretariat ready to hold joint meeting for budget

The federal parliament secretariat has completed preparations for the budget announcement for the upcoming fiscal year 2026/27 in a joint meeting of the House of Representatives and the National Assembly. The meeting is scheduled for Friday at 4:00 PM in the multi-purpose parliament building in Singha Durbar. Finance Minister Dr Swarnim Wagle is set to announce the budget, and parliament members have been informed to be present 15 minutes prior to the commencement of business.
