Israeli cybersecurity researchers claim Iranian hackers were behind a March cyberattack on the Los Angeles public transportation system, which forced the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority to shut down parts of its network. Gambit Security reported that hackers stole at least 700 gigabytes of data, and digital evidence suggests a link to a previous Iranian hacking campaign. The FBI is aware of the incident and coordinating with relevant agencies.
