KP Sharma Oli States Difference Between Democratic System and Popular Slogans Will Be Known Gradually Through Life Experiences

CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli stated that the distinction between a democratic system and popular slogans will become clear to society over time through life experiences, not immediately. In his Republic Day message, he highlighted the eighteen-year journey of Nepal as a republic, achieved after a long struggle and sacrifice. Oli acknowledged that developing a republican culture and institutional structures in a short period is challenging but pointed to significant social and physical development during this time. He emphasized that the republic represents a transformation from subjects to sovereign citizens and that while the pace of change may not be as rapid as desired, the republican system is essential for addressing dissatisfaction legally and protecting the people's ability to improve their situation.
