The 5th Meeting of the Nepal-Switzerland Bilateral Consultation Mechanism was held in Kathmandu, reviewing Nepal-Switzerland relations and celebrating 70 years of diplomatic ties. Both sides committed to strengthening bilateral relations and enhancing cooperation. Nepal briefed Switzerland on its political and economic developments, focusing on good governance, anti-corruption, transparency, digital transformation, and public service delivery, as well as economic goals in hydropower, tourism, and IT. Nepal also requested increased Swiss cooperation in line with its priorities and discussed regional and global issues like climate change. Agreements were expedited, and officials from both countries co-chaired the meeting.
