Nepali mission in Hong Kong marks Buddha Jayanti, Sagarmatha Day

The Consulate General of Nepal in Hong Kong organized an event titled “Nepal: Peaks and Peace 2026” to mark Buddha Jayanti and International Sagarmatha Day, highlighting Nepal as the birthplace of Buddha and home to Mt Everest. Acting Consul General Satish Gurung emphasized Nepal's unique representation of endurance and enlightenment, while also calling for deeper cooperation in the travel and hospitality sectors. The event also featured reflections on ties between New Zealand and Nepal, and was attended by various dignitaries and community leaders.
