The Economic Survey for fiscal year 2082/83 indicates that the number of registered cooperatives reached 32,325 by mid-March 2026, mobilizing Rs 102.57 billion in savings and providing employment to 82,216 people. The National Cooperative Regulatory Authority has licensed 834 organizations, with 23 declared problematic and three liquidated.
