Government Unveils Comprehensive Tax Review In FY 2026/27 Budget

The government has increased the personal income tax limit to Rs 1 million per year, aiming to provide relief to middle-class citizens. Additionally, customs duties have been reduced on 273 types of industrial raw materials, excise duties on 360 goods have been abolished, and various scattered taxes have been consolidated into a single green tax.
