Lawmaker Karna calls on govt to manage human-wildlife conflict
Rastriya Swatantra Party lawmaker Khagendra Karna has urged the government to address the escalating human and agricultural losses in Saptari and surrounding districts caused by attacks from wild elephants and other wildlife originating from the Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve. Karna highlighted recent fatalities from elephant attacks and extensive crop destruction, also noting the difficulties faced by affected farmers due to a cumbersome compensation process.
