Protest demands justice over caste-based violence & systemic discrimination (photos)

Activists and citizens gathered at Maitighar Mandala in Kathmandu to protest caste-based discrimination, structural oppression, and caste-related killings. The demonstration, organized by the Dalit Liberation Front Nepal’s First National Convention Organizing Committee, was held as a "resistance day" commemorating the Rukum Soti incident. Participants demanded an end to caste hierarchy and violence, including provision of land for landless Dalits, scholarships for Dalit students, and a commission to investigate caste-related killings.
