5th meeting of Nepal-Switzerland bilateral consultation mechanism concludes

The Fifth Meeting of the Nepal-Switzerland Bilateral Consultation Mechanism in Kathmandu reviewed bilateral relations and marked 70 years of diplomatic ties. Both nations committed to strengthening cooperation. Nepal updated Switzerland on its political and economic progress, emphasizing good governance, anti-corruption, transparency, digital transformation, and efficient public service delivery, alongside economic goals in hydropower, tourism, and IT. Nepal requested enhanced Swiss cooperation aligned with its priorities and discussed regional and global issues. The meeting was co-chaired by officials from both countries, and an MoU establishing the BCM was signed in 2015.
