A car bomb explosion in Damascus on Tuesday killed one soldier and injured at least 12 others, according to officials. The blast occurred in the Bab Sharqi area near a defence facility building, where authorities were attempting to defuse an explosive device. The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights stated the explosion took place near the entrance of a weapons administration headquarters.
