Govt unveils industrial reform package with women-focused incentives

The government has introduced an industrial reform package in the federal budget for Fiscal Year 2026/27, offering concessional loans for women entrepreneurs and reduced electricity tariffs for industries. Motipur and Mayurdhap industrial zones will be managed by the private sector. Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle stated that women-led enterprises will get priority in Special Economic Zones, and a single-window system will streamline procedures. Industries on leased land can use infrastructure as collateral for bank loans.
