Child battered by school teacher in Panchthar, admitted in hospital

A preschooler at Lungrupa Academy in Phidim Municipality-14, Panchthar district, was severely beaten by a teacher, Sumitra Sendang, for failing to write numbers correctly. The child was admitted to Ganeshman Singh Community Hospital with bruises and fever. The school operator stated the teacher has been suspended and the school will cover medical expenses, though the victim's family claims no direct contact from the school administration.
