10 Police Personnel Recommended for Action in Custody Death Case

Ten police personnel, including a Superintendent of Police, have been recommended for action in connection with the death of 23-year-old Shrikrishna BK while in custody at Ilaka Police Office Khurkot, Sindhuli. An investigation committee led by Deputy Inspector General Dinesh Kumar Acharya recommended varying degrees of disciplinary action, from warnings to demotion. The committee also urged the government and police administration to prioritize inmate safety, fully implement the Custody Management Work Directive, and enhance monitoring and reporting of unusual activities within custody.
