Prime Minister Balendra Shah will not deliver the keynote address at this year's Republic Day ceremony at Tundikhel, having formally informed the President’s Office. He has requested that the President deliver the address, citing the head of state's symbolic role. Preparations are underway for President Ram Chandra Paudel to address the ceremony, based on the recommendation and consent of the Council of Ministers as per the Constitution of Nepal.
