Sixth edition of Annapurna Marathon to be held on June 3

The sixth edition of the Annapurna Marathon will be held on June 3 to mark the 76th anniversary of the first ascent of Annapurna I. The marathon, which starts at Annapurna Base Camp and ends in Ghandruk, celebrates the mountain's legacy and promotes tourism in the Gandaki Province. French mountaineer Maurice Herzog first summited Annapurna I in 1950, paving the way for future Himalayan expeditions.
