Three bills were passed in the House of Representatives by majority vote despite objections from opposition parties. Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Sobita Gautam presented proposals for the House of Representatives Member Election (First Amendment) Bill, 2083, the Voter List (First Amendment) Bill, 2083, and the National Forensic Lab (Establishment and Operation) Bill, 2081. The main opposition, Nepali Congress, protested, while lawmakers from CPN UML and the Nepali Communist Party demonstrated near the rostrum.
