The government has suspended non-emergency health insurance services in private hospitals due to an escalating financial crisis within the national health insurance program. The Health Insurance Board will only provide emergency care in private institutions, effective from the 16th of the current month, citing severe financial constraints and difficulties in meeting payment obligations to service providers.
