Cannes-winning ‘Elephants in the Fog’ team welcomed in Kathmandu

The acclaimed Nepali film “Elephants in the Fog (Tiniharu)” received a celebratory reception in Kathmandu upon its return from the Cannes Film Festival. The film’s team, including director Abinash Bikram Shah, producer Anup Paudel, and actress Pushpa Theeng Llama, were honored by the Film Development Board. The film recently won the Jury Prize in the “Un Certain Regard” section at Cannes, a historic first for a Nepali film. The film portrays a marginalized gender minority community facing wild elephant attacks.
