Minister for Finance Dr Swarnim Wagle presented the Economic Survey for the fiscal year 2025/26, noting improvements in macroeconomic indicators and social sector progress despite global economic uncertainty. Nepal's economy is projected to grow by 3.85%, with GDP reaching Rs 6,609 billion. Inflation stood at 2.13% at mid-March, and remittances increased by 37.7%, leading to a surplus in the current account and balance of payments with foreign exchange reserves covering 18.5 months of imports.
