Bagmati Province Government Prepares Budget for Fiscal Year 2083/84

The Bagmati Province Government has begun preparing its budget for the fiscal year 2083/84, setting a ceiling of approximately 49 billion rupees. Despite delays, budget ceilings have been distributed to existing ministries, including those slated for merger. The government plans to cut current expenditures by about 30 percent, eliminate unnecessary programs, and halt vehicle purchases, aiming for a more realistic and reduced budget size compared to the current fiscal year.
