BYD Produces a Car Every 59 Seconds, Dominating Global Auto Market

Chinese automobile giant BYD is producing one car every 59 seconds from its factory in Zhengzhou, China, with 98 percent of the work done by robots. The company has a large team of over 120,000 engineers and focuses on vertical integration, developing batteries, motors, chips, and software in-house. BYD aims to maintain its number one position in Nepal's electric vehicle market and is expanding aggressively in Europe, Latin America, and South Asia. In the third quarter of 2024, BYD's total revenue surpassed that of its competitor Tesla.
