Government to provide rehabilitation assistance to displaced families

The government has decided to provide relief and rehabilitation assistance to families affected by the removal of vulnerable settlements along riverbanks in Kathmandu Valley. Each displaced family will receive Rs 25,000 lump sum, with monthly support for accommodation for three months. The cabinet also approved grants from the Swiss and Chinese governments for development projects and approved several regulations.
