US forces boarded and searched the Iranian-flagged oil tanker MT Celestial Sea in the Gulf of Oman, suspecting it of violating US sanctions while en route to an Iranian port. After the inspection, US forces directed the crew to change course and released the tanker. The US Central Command stated that it has redirected 91 commercial vessels as part of ongoing sanctions enforcement.
