Nepal's total outstanding financial irregularities have reached Rs 755.17 billion, as detailed in the 63rd Annual Report of the Office of the Auditor General submitted to President Ram Chandra Paudel. The report identified Rs 88.09 billion in new irregularities in fiscal year 2024/25 alone, with significant portions attributed to federal, provincial, and local government offices. The cumulative amount has increased by 2.99 percent, with recurring issues attributed to weak follow-up and non-implementation of audit recommendations.
