Nepal has been ranked 19th globally as a competitive outsourcing destination by the Global Outsourcing Talent Index 2026, attributed to its young workforce, competitive labor costs, and English-language proficiency. The report highlights Nepal's strong performance in labor-cost competitiveness, outperforming several advanced economies. While the IT and outsourcing service exports are nearing USD 1 billion annually, challenges such as unstable tax policies and limited digital infrastructure remain.
