Seventy people have died in disaster-related incidents across Nepal in the past 40 days, according to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority. The Authority reported 70 deaths and 333 injuries in 1,342 incidents, with floods causing the highest number of fatalities at 16. Fires were the most frequent incidents, with 488 reported cases.
