Bouddhanath Stupa

The Office of the Auditor General has directed the Shree Bouddhanath Area Development Committee to properly preserve research records related to the Bouddhanath area. The directive comes as the committee has failed to maintain a systematic archive of materials concerning the social, economic, cultural, and archaeological aspects of Buddhism, despite conducting annual studies. The report also highlights ongoing management disputes between the committee and the Buddha and Melamchi Ghyang Guthi, which have impeded development.
