Speaker DP Aryal proceeded with parliamentary business in the House of Representatives on Thursday despite ongoing protests and slogan chanting by opposition lawmakers demanding the presence of Prime Minister Balen Shah. Following a brief adjournment and discussions between Speaker Aryal and Prime Minister Shah, the session resumed with the Speaker moving forward with the agenda, including the presentation of an election-related ordinance by Minister Sobita Gautam, while opposition parties continued their obstruction.

The House of Representatives meeting has been postponed until May 26, with Speaker DP Aryal advancing proceedings amidst opposition protests. The 'Alternative Development Finance Mobilization Bill, 2082' was passed by a majority of ruling party MPs, while opposition members did not participate in the discussion or passage process.

Harka Sampang, chair of the Shram Sanskriti Party, walked out of a House of Representatives meeting after being denied an opportunity to speak. Sampang had requested emergency speaking time during a session discussing the Appropriation Bill, but Speaker DP Aryal stated no time or microphone had been allocated for him.
