Rastriya Swatantra Party President Rabi Lamichhane is scheduled to visit India on May 18 for a two-day trip at the invitation of India's Ministry of External Affairs. During his visit, Lamichhane is expected to hold high-level meetings with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri, and National Security Adviser Ajit Doval.

The BRICS Foreign Ministers Meeting in New Delhi, chaired by India, demonstrated resilience despite sharp divisions among member nations, particularly concerning the West Asia conflict. While a traditional joint declaration was not issued, ministers adopted a Chair's Statement and Outcome Document, reflecting common positions on most issues, showcasing India's diplomatic approach of focusing on convergence.
