Nepal is initiating the use of ethanol-blended petrol to reduce petroleum imports and promote renewable energy, with the Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) inviting applications from domestic producers. The government order allows for up to 10% ethanol blending, with the final percentage to be determined by the Cabinet based on availability and supply capacity.
