Bagmati Province Opposition Leader Demands Speaker Election Before Budget
Opposition Leader Shalikram Jamkattel of the Bagmati Province Assembly has urged the government to prioritize the election of a Speaker before presenting the policy and program and budget. He stated that it is shameful for the assembly to be without a Speaker for an extended period and warned that other agendas cannot proceed until this post is filled. Jamkattel pledged the opposition's cooperation in electing a Speaker swiftly.
