Bangladesh is experiencing its deadliest measles outbreak in decades, with over 500 children succumbing to the disease since March 15. Hospitals in Dhaka and other major cities are overwhelmed, facing a shortage of ICU beds for critically ill patients. The outbreak has been exacerbated by a disruption in vaccination programs following student-led political unrest in 2024.

Pakistan is grappling with a severe education crisis, with millions of children out of school due to poverty, inflation, and inadequate facilities, exacerbated by recent devastating floods. The Punjab province alone accounts for a significant portion of the 25 million children nationwide deprived of education, while privatization efforts are further shrinking the public education sector.
