Nepal Police Recommends Promotions Across Ranks: DSP to SP, SP to SSP, Inspector to DSP

Nepal Police has recommended promotions for personnel across multiple ranks, including 13 Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSP) to Superintendent of Police (SP), four SPs to Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), and sixteen Inspectors to DSP. These recommendations were made by the Police Headquarters Promotion Committee Secretariat based on decisions from meetings held on Wednesday.

  • Thirteen DSPs from the General, Technical (Health), and Technical (Engineering and Information Technology) groups were recommended for promotion to SP.
  • Four SPs, including one from the general category and one from the health sub-group (doctor), were recommended for promotion to SSP.
  • Sixteen police inspectors were recommended for promotion to DSP, covering technical groups such as doctors, nursing, engineering (IT), and forensic science.
  • The recommendations were made in accordance with Rule 27, Sub-rule (4) of the Police Regulations, 2071.
