India's NIA Charges 10 in 2025 Delhi Car Bombing Linked to Al-Qaeda Group

India's National Investigation Agency (NIA) has filed charges against 10 individuals in connection with the 2025 Delhi car bomb blast that killed at least 11 people. The NIA claims the accused are affiliated with Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind, an Al-Qaeda-inspired group, and were involved in illegal arms procurement and planning attacks using improvised explosive devices.

• The chargesheet, filed in a New Delhi court, details the accused's alleged involvement in illegally purchasing banned weapons, including assault rifles, and planning to use IEDs via rockets and drones targeting security forces.
• One of the accused, identified as medical doctor Umar un Nabi, who was allegedly the car driver, was killed in the explosion and his body was identified through DNA testing; the case against him will be dismissed.
