One Arrested in Sarlahi with Bharuwa Gun and Ammunition

Police in Sarlahi have arrested Buddhiman Ghalan with a Bharuwa gun, gunpowder, and bullets. The arrest occurred in Barahathawa Municipality after a joint police team intercepted Ghalan and three others who attempted to flee upon seeing law enforcement. Ghalan has been remanded for seven days for investigation into illegal arms possession.

  • Police seized one Bharuwa gun, 175 grams of gunpowder, 80 iron bullets, and materials to be used in the gun from the arrested individual.
  • The incident took place in Laukat Tole, Ward No. 12, Barahathawa Municipality, Sarlahi, on Monday.
  • Three other individuals managed to escape and are currently being sought by the police.
  • The Sarlahi District Court extended the remand period for Ghalan to seven days for further investigation.
