Jayodine Biotech Exports Anticancer Drug Raw Materials from Nepal to India

Jayodine Biotech Industry has begun producing and exporting raw materials for anticancer drugs, processed from Nepali herbs, to India. The company, located in Bharatpur Metropolitan City, has invested Rs 1.3 billion in state-of-the-art equipment for this venture, aiming to produce 10-12 types of raw materials.

  • The industry has successfully produced and exported 'Paclitaxel' and 'Docetaxel' raw materials, with an initial export of 2.5 kilograms of 'Paclitaxel' to India.
  • The raw materials are derived from pine bark processed by Evans Life Science in Hetauda, with plans to export to other Asian countries like Pakistan and Bangladesh.
  • The price of the exported raw material ranges from Rs 8 lakh to Rs 25 lakh per kilogram.
  • Jayodine Biotech plans to produce approximately a dozen types of raw materials, starting with two currently in production.
