National Women Commission Relocates Office to Narayanhiti Durbar

The National Women Commission has begun shifting its services to the former Department of Passport building at Narayanhiti Durbar. Administrative tasks have commenced at the new location, with all other services expected to be operational within a week. This move aims to eliminate rental charges and uphold the dignity of the constitutional commission.

The Commission's Bhadrakali-based office will continue to handle the 1145 helpline and complaints-related services temporarily before fully transitioning.
A council of ministers meeting held two and a half years ago had previously decided to relocate the Commission's office to Narayanhiti Durbar, but the process was delayed due to administrative reasons.
The relocation is expected to save the Commission from paying rental charges for its office space.
The move is intended to maintain the dignity associated with a constitutional commission.
