Minister Yadav Vows Zero Tolerance on Foreign Employment Fraud, Promises Online Services

Youth, Labour and Employment Minister Ramji Yadav has stated that the government is adopting a zero-tolerance policy against fraud and exploitation in foreign employment, vowing to resolve over 40,000 related complaints within a set timeframe. He also announced that all foreign employment services will be digitized and operated online starting from the upcoming month of Shrawan to enhance transparency and efficiency.

• Minister Yadav informed the House of Representatives that fraud in foreign employment will be controlled by implementing the existing legal framework and structure, with attention also drawn to amending laws and regulations.
• The ministry has clarified foreign employment processes for Israel and South Korea, noting that while 2,112 Nepali workers have been selected for Israel, those not selected in a lottery were advised to re-participate in future advertisements.
• For South Korea, the ministry has requested the government to address demands for roster extension and time period changes for EPS examinees, emphasizing that all processes will adhere to bilateral labor agreements.
• The government is committed to creating domestic employment opportunities and providing skills-based training, alongside ensuring the safety and dignity of Nepali workers abroad.
• The ministry is preparing to conduct all work online from the upcoming Shrawan to make services easier for recipients, end delays, and ensure transparency.
